Holy hell – life really did just take an enormous crap on you, didn’t it? I’m sorry I didn’t ask more questions at the time but sometimes the last thing you need is some random in guild prying into all the bad shit. I’m glad things are feeling a bit more clear, and a bit more stable in the aftermath but for what it’s worth, as Anonymous says, I think you’re taking way too much responsibility on yourself for the actions of others. I mean, all these people are adult human beings as capable as you in governing their own lives – I mean, of course your sister should have gone to her friend’s, she would likely have done so anyway even had you not urged her. And your brother is right – you can’t make decisions for people, you can’t get him off drugs and give him better friends, he has to do those things for himself. You can care for these people, and help them when they ask for it, but they each have individual responsibility for their lives. Good luck with the girlfriend though – I hope you manage to sort things out.

You know, when a shit load of bad stuff happens, it’s that instinctive feeling inside that maybe there was something you could have done. Always. Don’t be too hard on yourself here. Things happen. You can’t blame yourself for the decisions people make or insist on keeping making, or twists of fate.

However, reflection is good. Sorting out those parts you’re not happy with is good. Do what you can, when you can, and how you can. Think that’s all any of us can do! *hugs*

Sounds like an awesome evening – I love dungeon-running with SAN / pugs. I managed to have a really good run in Ulda of all places a week or so ago. We had this crazy rogue who was all GOGOGOGO YOU GUYS SUCK so we vote-kicked him and got another guy and suddenly everybody was from Argent Dawn and we had a blast. We had to take it pretty slowly and we all got lost about 20 times but it was a lot of fun.

Also here’s a crazy suggestion – I don’t know where you’ve parked your 80 at the moment or what your intentions with him are except for exploring but if you would like to dip your toe into endgame content, would you like to join my little crowd of idealistic fools? Again, there are no srs commitments here so it wouldn’t get in the way of enjoying your mage in SAN. I’ve left my email so feel free to drop me a note if you’d like to chat about it. Also “no, Tam, I’m cool,” is a perfectly valid response. I won’t go cry in the corner
